The majority of all tourist who visits Las Vegas want to live on the Strip. This is where the largest resorts, the best shopping, and the most activities can be found. The strip offers something for visitors of all ages and from all walks of life. It offers shopping, museums, theme parks, gardens, zoological parks and a lot more. It even features several large roller coasters. Below you can read guide to what you should think about when looking for a hotel on the strip.

In the middle of everything

Your best option is usually to get a room at a hotel located in the middle of the Strip. This way you will have everything on the Strip near your hotel. The length of the strip is about 4.2 miles. You will never be more than 2 miles from anything if you live in the center of the strip. It is easy to walk to everything on the strip. Walking the strip is a good way to experience everything it has to offer.

If you live in the center of the strip then there will never be more than a 20-minute walk to get where you want to go. With that said, Las Vegas can be very hot and you might want to take a taxi or an Uber even if you are just going a short distance. There is also a monorail that you can use,

Living in the center of the Strip is always the best option unless you know you are going to spend most of your time in a certain spot. In that case, it can be good to get a hotel as close to that spot as possible.

Hotels in the middle of the strip

There are a number of hotels that are located in the middle of the strip. Below we are going to look a little bit closer at some of them and who they are suitable for.

• If you are looking for a luxury hotel then I recommend that you consider Bellagio, Venetian, or the Caesars Palace
• If you are looking for a good hotel but don’t want to pay for a luxury hotel then I recommend The Paris, The Mirage, or Planet Hollywood.
• If you are looking for a cheaper but decent hotel then I recommend Bally’s, Flamingo, or Harrahs

There are a number of cheaper options but I do not feel I can recommend any of them. They might be a good fit for you but others might be disappointed when they arrive there. That I do not feel I can recommend a hotel does not mean that it is bad. Just that it is not good enough for me to feel comfortable recommending it.

Resort fee

Please note that some hotels above charge a resort fee. The resort fee is “mandatory” and charged when you check-in to the hotel. It is not included in the amount you are charged when you book the hotel. The resort fee can be rather high. Up to USD40 at the time I am writing this. It might be even higher when you are reading it.

Best Family hotel

If you are traveling with your family then I recommend that you consider the Mirage that has a lot to do for the entire family. It offers a good standard of living but is not as expensive as some of the more luxurious resorts.

Romantic getaway

If you want to get away on a romantic getaway with your partner then I recommend that you consider the Venetian. It is a good hotel that offers a very high standard. It contains good shopping and some very good restaurants. The designed is modeled after the city of Venice. One of the most romantic cities in the world.

Most Las Vegas

If you are looking for the true Las Vegas experience then I recommend that you stay at the Bellagio. The hotel personifies Las Vegas and is most likely the most famous hotel in Las Vegas. The water show outside the Bellagio is a must see.

Best View

The best views of the strip can be found from the suits at The Cosmopolitan. Book a wraparound terrace suit and marvel at the views. If you can not afford a suit then I recommend that you visit the stratosphere restaurant instead. It offers fantastic views from its spinning saucer.
